Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has approved the appointment of 902 new civil servants.
This massive recruitment covers around 60 cadres across various ministries, departments, and agencies, including education officers for 35 teaching subject areas.
According to Alhaji Kamoru Abiodun Aderibigbe, Chairman of the Oyo State Civil Service Commission, this recruitment is unprecedented in the state’s history.
Aderibigbe urged the new appointees to express their gratitude to Governor Makinde for this opportunity.
The new civil servants will receive their letters of appointment before the end of January 2025. This move is expected to boost the state’s workforce and enhance service delivery to the people of Oyo State.
“The recruitment, which is the first of its kind in the history of Oyo State, covers about 60 cadres across ministries, departments, and agencies. This includes education officers for 35 teaching subject areas in schools under the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.“
