“Akon presented me with a $5-million record deal but P-Square went behind my back and lied to Akon that they had signed me.”
“P-Square are talent killers. Initially when I met P-Square, they didn’t want to sign me, they told me that they just wanted to help me with a feature like they helped J-Martins, and Bracket.
When we went to shoot the ‘Chop My Money’ video, P-Square went to America without me because they didn’t want me in the video.
But Akon told them that he is not willing to show up if I will not be there. But P-Square said they didn’t have money and so Akon flew me to America.
So when I got to America, Akon called me into his office and asked if P-Square had signed me and so I said No! And Akon took my contact and told me that he will bring me to America soon and sign me.
As an honest guy who taught that P-Square really wanted to help me, when I got back to Nigeria, I told P-Square about Akon’s plans for me.
And immediately I said that, P-Square contacted Akon and told him that they had already signed me.
And that’s how I lost my opportunity to being one of the greatest artiste of my generation.
If I had known, I wouldn’t have told them that Akon wanted to sign me. I still cry everyday because of what P-Square did to me.” May-D
