On Monday, Olori Naomi Silekunola, Alhaji Oriyomi Hamzat, and Abdulahi Fasasi’s bail applications were granted by an Oyo State High Court in Ibadan, which is presided over by Justice K. B. Olawoyin.
Agidigbo FM, a well-known radio station in Ibadan, was founded by Hamzat, and Fasasi is the headmaster of Islamic High School in Bashorun, Ibadan, where 35 children perished during a children’s funfair organized by the Wings Foundation, which was controlled by Naomi, the former wife of the Ooni of Ife.
Justice K. B. Olawoyin, in his ruling on the bail application filed by the defense counsel, admitted the suspects to bail with a bond of ₦10 million each and two sureties in like sums.
The sureties are required to provide land documents within the court’s jurisdiction.
In addition, they are to deposit their international travel documents with the court and a restriction from granting any form of press interview during the pendency of the case.
The case has been adjourned for further hearing until 27th January 2025 by Justice Olawoyin.
