In Oko, Orumba North Local Government Area, Anambra State, two suspects have been taken into custody by the Anambra State Police Command for the alleged murder and burial of their brother in a shallow grave.
On Monday, January 6, CP Nnaghe Itam, the Anambra State Commissioner for Police, announced this to the media at the command’s headquarters in Awka.
According to Itam, Chibuzor Okeke, the deceased, was charged with theft and burglary.
His brother, Chidiebere Okeke, and cousin, Emebo Ogochukwu, found him in the act and beat him, finally ending in Chibuzor’s death.
Our suspects killed their sibling and interred him in a shallow grave in an Oko compound. The deceiver, Late Chibuzor Okeke, was charged with theft and breaking and entering.
He was apprehended and rendered unconscious by his brother, Chidiebere Okeke, and his cousin, Emebo Ogochukwu.
“Therefore, Chibuzor lost consciousness and was taken to the hospital, where the physician verified that he was dead,” Itam stated.
The two suspects then buried Chibuzor’s body in a shallow hole they had excavated in their compound.
The individuals will face charges in court following the completion of ongoing investigations.
