In remembrance of the late former Secretary to the State Government, Tayo Oluwatuyi, who died on Saturday, Ondo State Governor Mr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa announced three days of mourning on Sunday.

After being involved in a car accident along the Ife-Ibadan Motorway a few days prior, the late SSG, also known as Tukana, passed away on Saturday at an unidentified hospital.

The announcement was made by Aiyedatiwa, who accompanied state executive council members on a condolence visit to the deceased’s family in Akure, the state capital.

In his eulogy, the governor described the late SSG as a recurrent decimal in Ondo State politics and governance, saying he had a happy life and had a beneficial influence on many.

“Hon Tayo Oluwatuyi, you came, you lived, you carried out your God-given tasks, and you impacted lives, Aiyedatiwa wrote in the condolence register. “You have decided to leave us at a time we never expected but God said it is time to come home. “May you have rest at the bosom of your creator. Amen.

As the governor prayed for the deceased’s soul to rest in peace, he pledged the government’s support for the family “during this trying time.”

State governors and President Bola Tinubu have sent their condolences to the Ondo State government and people for the deceased SSG’s passing.

“The President believes Oluwatuyi served the people of Ondo State with unwavering dedication, providing the necessary backbone for policy coordination and implementation and significantly contributing to the state’s progress,” Tinubu said.
