The assassination attempt on Senator Lawal Adamu Usman, also known as Mr. LA, who represents the Kaduna Central Senatorial District, has been denounced by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna State.

The government’s incapacity to stop killings, maimings, and kidnappings throughout the state has been concerning, and the recent attempt on Senator Usman exposes the government’s security management shortcomings and sets a concerning tone for 2025, according to a statement released by Hon. Maria Dogo, the PDP’s publicity secretary in Kaduna State.
In addition to calling for increased security measures for elected officials and their families, the PDP called for an early inquiry into the incident, the arrest and prosecution of the attackers, and the punishment of their sponsors.
