The governor of Bauchi State has called on President Bola Tinubu to reevaluate the country’s economic policies, claiming that Nigerians do not support them.

The governor urged the president to put aside pride and listen to the complaints of the people while speaking during a Christmas Day celebration in Bauchi on Thursday, December 26. “We are urging the federal government and the president to adopt a different approach. They should listen to the public if a policy is unpopular rather than being conceited and assuming that what they say must be accepted. An oligarchy is not what this is.

“This rule isn’t military in nature. The governor stated, “We promised to be loyal to them, and they must listen to the people, which is what makes a good leader.”

He underlined the necessity of working together across party lines to alleviate Nigerians’ suffering. A lot of wahala is present. To help and comfort the Nigerian people, we must cooperate across party lines and at all levels of government. Whatever it is, it has nothing to do with pride or ego because things were different in the past.

Tell me if things were awful before I arrived, and I’ll make the necessary changes. Additionally, the president needs to pay attention,” he continued.

The governor’s comments follow intense criticism of the Bola Tinubu administration’s economic policies, which many feel have made the Nigerian people’s financial problems worse.
